Do we have enough food on-board???? LOL

We have just received notification that due to the unrest in the Middle East has caused the cancellation of our visit to Ashdod, the port for Jerusalem. We were really looking forward to going to Jerusalem but are very happy to accept the decisions for security reasons.

Instead, our visit to Crete has been brought forward one day and we will now be spending the day in Athens on Sunday - giving us a second day in Athens - now it is time to get back to the computer and reschedule our tours - we will now have 9 sea days in a row - no real hardship - we are having a wonderful time on-board although we will be happy to visit another port soon and set foot onto solid ground.

Tomorrow we will be transiting the Suez Canal - I am sure that  you can imagine all the Chinese whispers and rumours on the ship about which other ports will be cancelled - Jordan, Turkey, Oman??? The speculation and theories are boundless and some are quite funny!!!

It also makes us realise how blessed we are to live in a part of the world where we don't have to worry about these issues.

  1. Hey there Ros and Arnold,
Well, I am exhausted just reading the blog! - You guys get up to just too much fun. It must be just one long party.
I am so sorry to hear of your broken rib Ros......you should stay away from those dangerous canasta cards! - Hope it heals up pretty soon and doesn't impede your enjoyment of your trip....from all your news, doesn't seem like it.
My recovery is coming along nicely and the pain has greatly subsided. Will take awhile to heal properly but all is good.
Continue having fun guys...and thank you soooo much for the get well card which Audrey very dutifully gave to me upon my return. Very thoughtful guys~
Will look forward to reading all your adventures soon...and stay safe
    Much love Viv xxxxx
