The 'fearless leader'???

Pre cruise get together.

We have joined ‘cruise critic’ an online community of like-minded cruise lovers who are also going on the same cruise – and have communicated via the site since Dec 2011. We have met some of the other members on other cruises, but most are new. I put my hand up early in the piece and volunteered to be the group’s co-ordinator on this cruise – never guessing for a minute that the numbers would swell to more than 150.

We arranged a pre-cruise get together in Sydney on Friday night at the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel. About 30 cruisers joined in the dinner, as we shared the excitement of our upcoming adventures.

There is always some frivolity involved, and I was presented with the tools of the trade that I will need to carry out my duties – a blinged blue glittery whistle and neck chain, a cap with ‘fearless leader’ written on the front and a megaphone – lol. It was really great to finally be able to put faces to the names of those we have been communicating with over these past months.
