Dawn Nomads

The ship's senior staff addressing the group

Our cruise critic group decided to call ourselves the Dawn Nomads …… ‘cruise critic’ sounds like a group of old whingers and we are anything but that …. and so we had our first official get together today. I had a meeting with Cynthia, the Customer Service Manager and she has been delightful and really helpful to get our activities arranged – nothing is too much trouble for her.
About 80 people turned up, as well as the senior staff of the ship who each took turns to welcome us to the Dawn Princess and offered assistance in any way needed. It is great to see them at these functions and we do appreciate the time they give to make our cruise so memorable.
We made a special presentation, a trophy for Bravery to Judy and Ian, who are first time cruisers. Our first cruise to dip our toe in the water, so to speak, was a four day trip around Fiji – but not Judy and Ian, who obviously don’t do things by halves – they chose a 90 day odyssey as their first experience of life on the high seas.
Each couple introduced themselves and there was a lot of social interaction and laughter in our informal chatting – what a wonderful group of people. We have been able to arrange a pre-dinner get together every Tuesday afternoon on sea days at 4.45pm to catch up with the group as well as some special lunches etc.
